Why you should eat a healthy diet

Eating is done for many different reasons. We eat for various reasons. Food is essential for our energy, vitamins, and nutrients. Few foods are equally good or bad.

Fats

Many people avoid fats when it comes to eating healthy foods. Fats are essential for the body to absorb vitamins D, E, and A... but in moderation.

Monounsaturated fats are good for your heart. They maintain HDL levels while reducing LDL levels.

Monounsaturated fats are found in rapeseed oil, olive oil, and some nuts. You guessed it right: the avocado is our number one.

Dietary Fibers

Fibers may help to reduce the risk of stroke and heart disease. They can also reduce the risk of type 2 diabetes and bowel cancer. Fibers are found in many foods, such as black beans and spiced-up garbanzos.

Minerals

Minerals can be found in:

Cereals

Fish

Milk

Fruits & Vegetables

Nuts

Proteins

All cells in the body contain protein. A healthy diet should include it. Amino acids are created by breaking down digested proteins. They help repair the cells. These amino acids are vital for children and teens since they are necessary for their growth.

Amino acids are found in meat, fish, and milk. If you are a vegan or vegetarian, there are other sources of amino acids, such as soy, legumes, and grains. Amino acids can be made from nut butter, grains, and nuts.

Vitamins

Vitamins play a vital role in the proper functioning of our body. They are found in vegetable and dairy oils. Vitamins D, E, and K are also found in dairy and vegetable oils.
